The quality of materials and workmanship, the importance of light and colour, the design of functional and liveable spaces, relationships with the context, sustainability as the fundamental design principle: these are the features of Studio Lauria’s architecture.
The firm was established in 1999 in Florence, the city where Daniele Lauria graduated and where for some years he has worked on building and urban regeneration projects coordinated by Renzo Piano and Leonardo Benevolo. Ever since its first creations, the firm has stood out for the originality of its outfitting for big cultural events: one of its first works, the exhibition pavilion for the EU Internet Festival was presented at the Venice Biennial in 2000. In the following years the firm added jobs in the sphere of building and urban design and multiplied its activities in experimenting formats for contemporary scenarios. The 'Studio Lauria' works also in Sao Paulo, Brazil, thanks to the partnership with Tatiana Yokota F.
