Developing new visions for a shopping street in aspern Vienna’s Urban Lakeside, one of the largest areas of urban extension in Europe, according to the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract:
Creating a shopping street from scratch is a big challenge and chance to establish completely new formats for shopping on the one hand, and new co-actions between public space and (private) shopping spaces on the other hand. Weather the new aspern shopping street will be a place of assembly like the Greek agora or a virtual show case of desires - the wonderland project space provides a platform for developing new strategies onto the unthought.

Out of all received submissions a jury formed by wonderland board members and represenatives of the lakeside town selected the most innovative, motivated and interesting ideas and joined 4 international teams, which were invited to participate in the project space discussing the future of Viennes shopping:

Atmosfera, Mika Savela, Mimexity and MYCC.
